Michelle Taylor is Advantum Health’s Director of Operations with a passion for technology and innovation. With over 15 years of experience in the industry, she has a wealth of knowledge in revenue cycle management and medical coding and billing. Michelle is responsible for driving innovation and collaboration across departments, leading a team of professionals to deliver excellent service to clients, and developing strong relationships both internally and externally.
Michelle’s journey in the medical field began in insurance verification with a Physical Therapy company that utilized a central billing office. During that time, she decided to become a certified coder and biller through AAPC, which propelled her career forward. Studying Pre-Med with a minor in computer science at the University of Georgia, her love for technology and innovation in healthcare grew. Michelle’s expertise in both the medical field and technology make her a valuable asset to any team.
Michelle’s favorite part of her job is resolving issues and bringing innovation and collaboration across departments. She is known for thinking outside the box and turning opportunities into successes for clients. Michelle also enjoys developing strong relationships with clients and colleagues, investing in a company that sees her potential and wants her to succeed with them.
When asked about the challenges facing the industry in the near term, Michelle cites the use of paper and manual processes that could be replaced with modern solutions to increase efficiency. In the long term, she sees AI in healthcare propelling us into a new era for both providers and patients, with algorithms performing tasks and analyzing data in a more concise manner. Michelle is excited about the future of healthcare and technology and can’t wait to see what new discoveries lie ahead.
