The Accounts Receivable Specialist is responsible for billing, collections, and posting for assigned accounts, in an accurate and timely manner.   This position resolves billing issues and reports on trends.


  • High School Degree required, Associates degree or higher preferred
  • 3-5 years of medical accounts receivable and billing experience
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Excellent written and verbal communications


  • Manage collection activities of outstanding accounts receivable dollars from patients and insurance payers; resolve billing problems, reducing accounts receivable delinquency.
  • Develop positive relationships with clients, payer representatives, and colleagues
  • Investigate and resolve disputes/issues, working with other departments as needed
  • Analyze and report trends; suggest process improvements
  • Meet or exceed required departmental deadlines and goals on a consistent basis
  • Maintain strict confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations and company policy
  • Present a positive, professional appearance and convey a professional demeanor in the performance of assigned duties
  • Comply with departmental and company-wide policies and procedures
  • Other duties as assigned
