RICARDO A. SALAS
Ricardo A. Salas is President of The Silver Lake Group, a private investment company with interests in health care, technology and media businesses. In 2001, he founded and served as CEO of iLIANT Corporation, a health care information technology and outsourcing service provider for physician groups, hospital systems and academic medical centers. Following iLIANT’s merger with MED3000 Group, Inc., he continued to serve as a Director of MED3000 Group, Inc. though its sale to McKesson Corporation in 2012. He was a founder of Medical Manager Corporation, a health care information technology company providing practice management systems to over 120,000 physicians across the US which merged with WebMD in 2000.
His past positions include serving as the CEO and President of Pediatric Health Alliance, a physician practice management company working with the largest pediatric groups along the west coast of Florida.
He currently serves on the Board of Advantum Health; MSI Healthcare, a healthcare consulting firm; and Liquidmetal Coatings, an advanced material technology company. Mr. Salas also serves on the Vision Team of Reality Changers, a non-profit enabling disadvantaged youths to become first generation college graduates. Mr. Salas received an Economics degree from Harvard College in 1986.
Mr. Reid is the President of Auctus Performance, a healthcare focused growth consulting firm. He also serves as a Senior Advisor for CI Capital Partners. He recently retired from Juice Tyme (now The Bevolution Group), where he served as the Chief Executive Officer. Prior to the Bevolution Group, Kirk compiled over 30 years of healthcare experience in sales, business development, marketing and general management. He has served as the Executive Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer for Chamberlin Edmonds (a Change Healthcare company), the leader in hospital eligibility and enrollment services; Vice President of Sales for Gentiva Health Services, the nation’s largest provider of home health and specialty pharmaceutical distribution services. Additionally he was the Executive Vice President for NES Healthcare Services, a national provider of hospital emergency department management services and was the Executive Vice President for Premier Anesthesia, the largest provider of hospital anesthesia department management.
Kirk received his Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing from Missouri State University and did his post graduate Master’s work at St. Mary’s of California. In addition to his board position at Advantum Health he also serves on the boards of The Bevolution Group, Healthcare Financial Inc and Liquid Compass. He is a past board member of The Autism Foundation of Georgia and remains involved in the foundation’s fundraising initiatives.
Mr. Gardner is a Venture Partner with Fulcrum Equity Partners, an Atlanta-based growth equity fund. Alston has been an early stage technology investor since 2000 and has served on dozens of boards including two public technology companies. He is the managing partner of the VCMF Angel Fund that focuses on early stage companies affiliated with Duke, UNC and NC State.
Alston was the founder and CEO of OnTarget, a global consulting and training firm focused on complex sales in the information technology industry. Under his leadership, OnTarget grew from start-up to the industry leader in sales force development with $75 million in revenue and 100+ professionals in fifteen countries prior to selling the firm in 1999.
Alston taught at the Kenan-Flagler Business School at UNC from 2003-2008 and has been a guest lecturer at several schools including Harvard Business School and UVA’s Darden School of Business.
Alston earned a B.A. in history from the University of North Carolina and completed a Post-Baccalaureate Certificate in Psychology at Columbia University.
Alston served on UNC’s Board of Trustees from 2007 to 2015 and was Vice Chair from 2014 to 2015. He currently serves on the board of Higher Education Works, an advocacy group that promotes higher education in North Carolina.
Mr. Lewis is a Principal with Fulcrum Equity Partners. He joined in 2007 as an Analyst and was promoted to Associate and then Director before becoming a Principal in 2015. Prior to joining Fulcrum, Mr. Lewis worked as an Investment Banking Analyst with A.G. Edwards & Sons. Mr. Lewis received a B.S. in Business Administration with concentrations in Finance and Accounting and a minor in Spanish from Washington University in St. Louis.
Mr. Lewis currently serves on the board of directors of Advantum Health , RivalHealth, MFG.com and ALS Resolvion. He is additionally the acting CFO for RivalHealth. Mr. Lewis also serves on the board of directors and selection committee for Venture Atlanta, and is on the board of the corporate development society for the Technology Association of Georgia, founded the Young Southern Capital Group.
Outside of Fulcrum, Mr. Lewis is a member of the Leadership Council for non-profit Year Up! Atlanta and previously chaired the steering committee of the NextWave Society at the Georgia Aquarium.
Venkat Sharma, Founder and CEO, launched Advantum Health (formerly iHealth Innovations) in 2013 and two years later purchased Paradigm, a company started in 1996 with deep experience in medical billing, coding and practice consulting. Mr. Sharma has significant experience building healthcare and technology businesses, successfully founding and exiting two enterprises, including iMedX, a leading outsource provider of healthcare software and services to hospitals and medical practices throughout the United States. An experienced M&A executive, Mr. Sharma has sourced, negotiated and closed over 15 acquisitions during his tenure with Advantum Health and iMedX. He also was a member of the leadership team that took Acorn Information Services, an ASP service and database marketing company for the pharmaceutical industry, from start-up through successful IPO.
His prior corporate experience includes IBM and 3M. Mr. Sharma serves as Vice Chairman of the Board for Passport Health, a provider-sponsored Medicaid Managed Care Plan in Louisville, KY, and on the Board of the JJ Metta Foundation, a charitable organization for children in need. Mr. Sharma received his Bachelor’s degree in electrical and electronic engineering from Birla Institute of Technology and Science (India), and a Master’s degree in Management from Clemson University in South Carolina.
Sreeram Mantha is a technology business leader with nearly two decades of experience serving hospitals and healthcare providers. He was the CEO and Co-Founder of DNA Healthcare prior to the company becoming part of Advantum Health. Mr. Mantha started the company in 2009, building it a profitable operation with approximately 150 associates worldwide. Prior to that, Mr. Mantha was the Co-Founder and Senior Client Partner of Infospan Technologies, a capital markets consulting firm that evolved into a provider of technology solutions to healthcare, financial services and other industry verticals. Additionally, he was a Senior Technical Manager for Cap Gemini (Accurum) and provided product development and technical support for IBM.
Mr. Mantha earned a bachelor’s degree in Electronics & Communications from Andhra University in India and an MBA from Cornell University, USA.
